Privacy Policy

Custom Fan Grill (“we”, “us”) operates customfangrill.com, a browser-based tool for designing 120mm PC fan grills and ordering them printed. We are based in Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

Designs you create. While you're working in the editor, your design lives only in your browser's local storage. If you add a design to your cart and check out, we upload the design data (the shapes/text/images you placed), a thumbnail image, and the generated STL file to our servers so the grill can be printed and, if needed, reprinted for support purposes.

Order and shipping details. Name, shipping address, quantity, and the shipping option you select.

Payment information. Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, expiry, or CVC — Stripe passes us your email address, name, shipping address, and payment confirmation so we can fulfill and email you about your order.

Order emails. We send order confirmation and shipping-notification emails, via our email provider Resend, to the email address Stripe collects at checkout.

Analytics. We use a self-hosted, first-party analytics tool (Umami) to see aggregate page views. It does not use tracking cookies and does not identify you personally.

How we use it

• Produce, quality-check, and ship your printed fan grill
• Calculate live shipping rates and generate shipping labels and customs paperwork for international orders
• Send order confirmation and shipping-notification emails
• Respond to support and refund requests
• Keep records required for accounting and tax purposes
• Understand aggregate site usage to improve the designer

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site and fulfillment work:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Chit Chats (US shipments) and EasyPost (international shipments) — your name, address, and package/customs details, to generate shipping labels
• Resend — delivering order emails
• MongoDB (our database host) — storing designs, STL files, and order records

Data retention

Designs you haven't checked out live only in your browser and are removed when you clear your cart or browser storage. Once you check out, we keep the design files and order record to fulfill the order, handle any support or reprint requests, and satisfy our accounting obligations. The one-time link used to resume or download a specific design expires one hour after it's created for security — that expiry does not delete the underlying order or design.

Your choices

You can ask us to send you a copy of, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing waaverecords@gmail.com. We may need to keep certain order records to comply with tax and accounting obligations even after a deletion request.

Cookies

We don't set tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe's hosted checkout page may set cookies of its own for fraud prevention while you're on it — that's governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

Security

All traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Card details never touch our servers — they go straight to Stripe. We use access controls and industry-standard hosting to protect the data we do store, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

International transfers

We're based in Canada, but some of our service providers (including Stripe, Resend, and our database host) may process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. By using the site, you consent to this transfer.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
